Why do we struggle to sometimes to start blogs as artists? We always have so much to say about our work and intentions, well I do, that it should be easy. So after staring at the computer screen for 5 minutes I thought the best way to begin was to introduce my previous work and current projects, so that you as the reader might fully understand what I am doing and what I am working towards.
In the First Semester of the MA at Aberystwyth University I continued my project from 3rd year on the abandoned and ugliness of decaying and ruined buildings. I continued to use film, mainly Fomapan 100 or Ilford 100, as the main source of my work, whilst still keeping a strong digital portfolio on the side. My work focused on the detail within decaying structures or areas of buildings that are in particular need of attention, and I photographed these areas in full detail using wide apertures and high quality prints.
As I continue throughout this Masters Degree I will intend to explore my photographic knowledge and experiment with different methods, techniques and processes. I will also share all my news, updates and progress throughout the rest of the course on this blog so please if you can, keep checking it regularly.
