With the exhibition approaching in May, (the photograph is of last years catalogue) I have recently set my mind on what type of space I would want to exhibit my work to the best it can be. As a Postgraduate we do get plenty of input as to how we want our spaces to look. 11 Postgraduates exhibiting is quite a number so we are spread out across the School of Art.
Because I have been printing large I wanted to make sure that they stand out. By being given the back wall which will hold 3 or 4 large prints, with frames and mounts and they will still have plenty of space to breathe. My first idea is to have the 3/4 Large pieces on the back wall with a section of smaller prints on the side.
The diagram to the left shows the amount of space I have been allocated which is more than generous! I would hope to use black frames and large window mounts to best show off the photograph. Not only is there the exhibition layout prep but also the Catalogue statement, Photo and details which is a key part of this exhibition process.
