Photographing in Amsterdam.

Over the Easter break I was fortunate enough to visit Amsterdam, Holland for 4 days. This beautiful old city filled with quaint little coffee shops, wonderful architecture and many bridges inspired my creative mind. I have always loved buildings and the architecture of historical and modern combined and Amsterdam was awash with this. It was like being in a fairytale.

I did find however that the city is not the easiest place to set up a tripod and film camera, as it is so densely populated there are always cars and bikes and people walking around. I found a quiet spot near the University where people were more sparse and always very interested in the camera I was using.

This was a lovely break involving culture and museums and artistic research but also relaxing to explore a new place. I shot a few rolls of film which I am very pleased about and below are a couple of the shots. I really tried to focus on what Amsterdam is famous for, beautiful architecture, canals and bikes.
