On the 20th of May this year at Aberystwyth University the first of my two exhibitions that i must produce during this Master’s Degree opened. The whole semester has been leading up to this day and I can quite honestly say that I am and was really pleased with the work I showcased. Now it is down and finished and the final semester starts today I have found myself looking over what I produced and thinking about how I can expand upon that for September.
It is never easy making an exhibition. It takes so much time to mount, frame, paint the frames, make labels and write statements but it has all been worth it. We had a 4 day turn around in the downstairs gallery of the School of Art, Aberystwyth which was quiet tight but with some long days, my work was finally up and on the walls by midday on Friday the 19th.
This has defiantly been a successful exhibition with much interest in my work I feel that I can go forward now and work with what I have already achieved. At the moment I am continuing with my stone tape theory theme and seeing if there is a way to get even closer to the detail (macro). I would also like to work more with digital this semester as i do love the differences that digital photographs can produce over film. Onwards and upwards!
