An artist that has come to my attention in the past week was Sebastian Kwiatek. The Polish born artist lives and works in Munich, Germany. He works on many different projects from street to landscape however one focuses on abstraction.
His use of light really helps to enhance the photograph and the patterns that he has created. Light is something that i am very keen to experiment with. I have been looking at the effects that different light sources and strengths can have on a photograph. His photographs below show just how light, shapes and patterns can really draw in a person into the depths of the photograph.
I think Kwiatek’s work can really relate to mine as i am trying to break away from the derelict and move more towards light and patterns as a starting theme for the final exhibition module. I know that it will somehow still involve architecture but it is how i can incorporate light and patterns that will be the big game changer.
