The aftermath of the previous exhibition has left me in a trail of thought about this semester. In the next 2.5 months I have to create an exhibition again for the final time of the MA. I have some very strong ideas about how i want this one to look. For example I wish to create a book of digital photographs, this will help to expand my portfolio. I also find digital and film have so many differences that it is great to capture them both so I am able to compare.
I have just travelled home (East Yorkshire) for a few days to gather my thoughts and start progressing these ideas I have. One of them is, to change completely away from architecture and look at abstraction, inspired from Sebastian Kwiatek (previous post), look at ways that light can really change the perception of a photograph. This abstraction could involve anything, from landscapes to food, possibilities are endless.
The second idea is to stay with architecture slightly, bringing in the history of the place and make the photographs to work perfectly in connection with the building. Before I have just picked out the imprecations, I have never really gone in-depth with the buildings history, heritage or its past glories. This is all food for thought but I wish to have a clear defiant choice in the next few days o i can begin shooting film.
